In an interview taped on Friday, Simon Monjack asked Larry King, “You want to know what broke Brittany Murphy’s heart?”
“Hollywood broke Brittany Murphy’s heart.” — This comes from a man who is in a great deal of pain and unable to deal with the situation at the loss of his beloved wife.
On Friday, both Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack and her mother Sharon Murphy were at the CNN studios in Los Angeles to record a segment about Brittany’s death and it’s after-effects on them.
When asked by Larry on how they were dealing with her loss, Simon responded, “I don’t think I am. I don’t think either of us are…”
“No,” added Brittany’s mom.
Simon and Sharon go into the emotionally demanding details of the morning of Brittany’s death and also talk about their lives now that devoid her. The interview is to be aired on Wednesday.
“Sharon and I were holding each other,” Monjack recollected. “And they let us know at the same time that they — that she hadn’t made it.”
“But we knew before that. It was just — you know, you felt her life go out of her,” said Sharon.
