After her break-up with Bollywood heart-throb Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone is to star in a film titled Break Ke Baad with Imran Khan. For the first time Kunal Kohli will be donning the role of an independent producer and won’t be directing the movie. “My director Danish Aslam and I always wanted to call his film Break Ke Baad because it is about a couple Imran and Deepika who break-up and want to come together,” says Kunal Kohli.
Kunal earlier had problems in locating the legal owners of the registered title in Mumbai, and had a tough time finding their whereabouts. Kunal says, “We finally tracked it down to Bangalore to a 60 year old gentleman who deals in electrical goods. He owns a company called Seva Films. He hopes to make films that would change the world. Break Ke Baad is one of the titles he had registered. He loved our idea and gladly parted with the title.”
However Kunal’s problems did not end here; it was jus the beginning. With the entire movie to be shot in Delhi and Australia, he had to endure lots of problems in getting permission to shoot in Delhi and the Gold Coast in Australia. Kunal says, “I could write a thesis on what I have gone through to get permission to shoot in Delhi.”
